Sliced chicken breast tossed in Cajun seasoning with green onion and cream turns some ordinary linguini into a piquant pasta plate.
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into thin strips
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 green onion, sliced
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 ounces linguine pasta, cooked and drained
grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Place chicken and Cajun seasoning in a bowl or resealable plastic bag, toss or shake to coat.
In a large skillet over medium heat saute chicken in butter until almost tender, about 5-7 minutes. Add onion; cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat. Add cream and seasonings; heat through. Add linguine and toss; heat through.

I took the recommendation about the lemonpepper and didn't add it. It was delicious! The chicken was tender and the alfredo sauce had a good spicy flavor. Perfect recipe for just me and my husband.

I didn't like the lemon pepper seasoning in this. It kinda ruined the dish for me. I'd recommend omitting that because it tasted out of place.

I substituted shrimp for the chicken in this recipe and it tasted just like the restuarant. I followed the directions the same and was very pleased!
