1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
4 tablespoons white vinegar
4 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon ketchup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
Whisk together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
Combine the vinegar, sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and broth in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a low simmer.
While stirring, slowly add the cornstarch mixture. Stir constantly for 2 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and is translucent.
Use immediately or let cool then store in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to 1 week.

Very easy & delicious sweet & sour sauce. I needed one in a hurry & it couldn't have been easier. I added green peppers & pineapple chunks during the thickening of the sauce. It was great with meatballs over cooked rice.

This was very easy to make came out great. My kids loved it and it was so easy that my 8 year old son even helped to make it.
