What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

I also added red pepper to mine, very easy to make. I did double the recipe.

Good balance of sweet and sour. I also add crushed red pepper like Mom of 4 does.

This is a wonderful sauce that will make any meal seem like you went all out! Pour over meatballs, chicken strips or breaded pork, or use as a dunking sauce. I used just pineapple juice in the recipe for sweet and sour meatballs for a luau party. Perfect!

I went looking for an "Orange Chicken" type sauce and definately found it...I loved it, the perfect amount of juice/sugar for the sweet and also nicely sour. I am definately making this again. One thing I did was add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper (to a double batch) for a little "kick" at the end :)
