It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Super easy sweet and sour that you can throw together at a moment's notice. Whether you're using it to give fried chicken and pineapple a sweet glaze or just dipping some egg rolls, sweet and sour is always handy to have around.

1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon red pepper sauce
Stir together all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until the sugar dissolves. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until ready to serve.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to 1 week.

Not sweet enough as is had to add more sugar to balance out the tanginess but it could be the brand of ketchup that I buy because I know that some are quite a bit sweeter
