- #14829
ingredients
1 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons prepared yellow or brown mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 dash ground cloves
directions
Combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, mustard, ginger, and cloves in a 2-quart heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Cook for 5 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Use the glaze to baste the ham frequently during the last 30 minutes of baking (do not use earlier than that or it can burn because of the sugar content).
nutrition data
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

Used this for a ham on easter. It wasnt spiral sliced, so i diamond cut it. I used honey mustard instead of regular mustard and it turned out great! We are having a pork roast on monday so i will see how it works on that too!
