Warm Grapefruit Tea

Who says you need tea to make tea? Boiling grapefruit juice with whole spices makes a calming, delicious beverage.

ingredients

2 cups fresh ruby red grapefruit juice
2 tablespoons honey
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon whole allspice berries
1/2 cup water
extra cinnamon stick
grapefruit wedge

directions

Combine the juice, honey, cinnamon stick, allspice, and water in a saucepan or kettle over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes.

Let cool slightly the strain the tea through cheesecloth to remove the spices and any pulp.

Serve with a cinnamon stick stirrer or wedge of grapefruit.
