Blonde Brickle Brownies

ingredients
1 1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 package (6 ounce size) toffee pieces, divided
1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 8 inch square pan. Mix flour with baking powder and salt; set aside.
In large bowl, beat eggs well. gradually beat in sugar and brown sugar until thick and creamy. Add melted butter, vanilla and almond extracts. Mix well.
Gently stir in flour mixture until moistened. Fold in 2/3 cup of toffee and nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 30 minutes.
Remove from oven, immediately sprinkle with remaining toffee pieces over top. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.
