36 pears (large)
3 large oranges (optional)
1 bottle maraschino cherries (chopped fine)
1 can (No. 2 1/2 size) crushed pineapple
sugar
Peel, core pears, peel oranges; grind both in food chopper. Add pineapple; add 3/4 cup sugar for each cup pulp. Simmer about an hour until pears are tender.
Add cherries; pour in jars and seal with wax.
This is very good on pancakes. Also good on Angel food cake.

I found this recipe for my mother and she and my cousin made it and everyone that has tried it said it was wonderful and wanted the recipe. Mother said that it was easy to make and I am looking her some more pear to make more. It was wonderful on hot biscuits.
