Chicken And Potato Gratin

ingredients
2 teaspoons olive oil
3 chicken breast fillets thinly sliced
1 onion, finely chopped
3 teaspoons chopped thyme
sea salt & cracked black pepper
4 nicola potatoes, peeled and cut into small slices
1 1/2 cup cream
1 egg
1/3 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
directions
Place a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the oil, chicken, onion, thyme, salt and pepper and cook for 4-5 minutes or until golden. Drain off any excess liquid and set aside.
Place a layer of potato slices in the base of a 4 x 1 cup capacity ovenproof dishes. Top with a layer of the chicken mixture and then another layer of potatoes. Continue layering finishing with potato slices. Combine the cream, egg, salt and pepper and pour evenly over the gratins.
Sprinkle with the parmesan and bake for at 425 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the potato is soft. Serve for lunch or brunch with a simple green salad.

The flavor was fine with this dish, however, there was no indication of what temperature to bake it on, so I chose 425 and that worked. Also, it would be helpful to specify that the potatoes should be sliced thinly. Otherwise, it came out fine and I would make it again.
