This fried rice recipe calls for either baked ham or smoked turkey. We highly recommend trying the smoked turkey in it! It also uses brown rice instead of white and calls for some chopped shrimp along with the other ingredients.

ingredients
1 1/2 cup long-grain brown rice, cooked until tender 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/3 pound baked ham or smoked turkey, coarsely chopped 1 medium onion, finely chopped 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger 3 eggs, lightly beaten 2 cups frozen peas, thawed 6 cooked medium shrimp, coarsely chopped 1/4 cup soy sauce salt and pepper, to taste
directions
Fluff the rice with a fork and set it aside.
In a large skillet, heat the oil, and when it is hot, add the ham or turkey, onion, and ginger. Cook, stirring often with a wooden spoon, for 8 minutes or until the onion softens.
Add the rice and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until the ham or turkey mixture is distributed evenly in the grains.
Pour the eggs over the rice and immediately begin stirring the mixture. You'll see the egg begin to scramble at the edges of the pan. Continue cooking for 1 minute or until the egg is evenly distributed.
Add the peas, shrimp, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Tossing constantly, continue cooking until the peas and shrimp are both hot.

Excellent! Fabulous recipe - a real keeper. We didn't change a thing, it turned out perfect. It will probably serve four (to six) people as a main dish, as a side dish it will definitely serve more.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
