Slow Cooker Pork With Sweet Potatoes, Apples and Sauerkraut

ingredients
2 medium sweet potatoes
1 medium onion sliced
2 apples cored and sliced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
5 boneless pork chops or pork steaks
1 can (16 ounce size) sauerkraut, drained
directions
Peel and cut sweet potatoes into slices about 1/2 inch thick. Arrange over bottom of a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker.
Cover with onion, then apples. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon or nutmeg, salt and pepper. Top with pork chops, then sauerkraut. Cover and cook on LOW about 5 hours or until chops are tender.
