Vegetables in green, white, and red provide a colorful salad in Christmas hues. The recipe can be made ahead of time for less holiday stress.

ingredients
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
4 cups fresh cauliflower florets
1 medium red onion, chopped
2 cups halved cherry tomatoes
Dressing
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
black pepper, to taste
directions
Combine the broccoli, cauliflower, onion, and cherry tomatoes in a salad bowl.
In another bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream sugar, and vinegar. Mix well and season to taste with pepper.
Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss to coat them well. Cover the bowl and chill the colorful Christmas salad for at least 2 hours.
