Old Fashioned Slow Cooker Vegetable Soup

ingredients
1 pound beef short ribs
2 quarts water
1 teaspoon salt
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup carrots, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced
2 cups potatoes, diced
1 can (15 ounce size) whole kernel corn, undrained
1 can (15 ounce size) diced tomatoes
2 turnips, peeled and finely chopped
directions
Combine the ribs, water, salt, onions, carrots and celery in crockpot. Cover; cook on low for 4-6 hours.
Remove meat from crockpot. Remove bones from meat. Dice meat and return to crockpot. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; cook on high for 3 hours.
