Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

There is a lot of sugar hiding in a standard bottle of BBQ sauce. The secret to this sauce is diet cola, for a sweet bite without any of the added calories.

diced onion (to taste)
minced garlic (to taste)
oil, as needed
2 cups sugar-free ketchup
2 cups diet cola
In a large saucepan, add onion and garlic (as desired) and a little oil (will depend on how much onion and garlic you add) and cook over medium heat until the onion is soft.
Add the ketchup and cook, stirring, until it is warm, do not let it boil. Add the cola slowly to the pan, stirring constantly until the desired consistency is reached (you may not use all the cola). Just heat through, do not let it boil.
Remove from heat and use immediately or store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
If you are unsure about the onion and garlic amounts, start with 1/2 onion and 1 clove of garlic and about 2 teaspoons of oil to cook it in.
