A fun twist on traditional barbecue sauce, this Florida-style recipe combines ketchup and brown sugar with fresh fruit juices. It's mild but packs a punch on grilled meats.

1 bottle (24 ounce size) ketchup
1 pound dark brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 cup onion juice
3/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup pineapple juice
3/4 cup mango juice
4 tablespoons cornstarch
Combine all ingredients in a 1 gallon non-metal container. Mix well. Pour into a Dutch oven or Kettle. Cook over low heat until mixture begins to thicken. If too thin, add more cornstarch.
When cool, pour into squeeze bottles with large hole in tip.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
