ingredients
1 pound butter
2 pounds brown sugar
10 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
8 ounces flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces chopped nuts, optional
directions
Cream butter and sugar on medium speed for 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla. Mix on low speed until blended.
Combine dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Mix on low speed until blended. Add nuts, mix to blend. S
Spread mixture evenly in 2 greased 12x18x2 inch baking pans. Bake at 325 degrees F for 25 minutes.
VARIATION: Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Squares: Add 1 pound chocolate chips.
