ingredients
1 pound turkey meat, ground
2 teaspoons fennel or anise seed, whole
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes or hot pepper sauce (optional)
1/8 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/4 cup cold water
directions
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, fennel seed, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, pepper, and water. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight to allow the flavors to blend.
To cook, divide the mixture into fourths, then form each into a patty. Broil 2-4 inches from the heat for 10-15 minutes, then turn and broil 10 minutes more or until well done.

Excellent recipe. I used fresh, minced garlic and onion instead of the powder and found that it gave much more flavor. This is a recipe that I will use over and over.
