A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

ingredients
1 1/2 pound ground meat (buffalo, beef, pork, or venison)
1 cup onions, diced
2 tablespoons corn oil
6 rounds fry bread
1 head lettuce, shredded
1/2 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
3 tomatoes, diced
1 can green chiles, diced
directions
Brown meat with the onions in oil. Put equal amount of the meat on each bread round. Add some lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and chilies.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

I first fell for Navajo tacos when I had one at a restaurant just outside of Monument Valley. Like all recipes I have read this one is simple, direct and an easy route to success!! This dish is very filling, great for large crowds and a fantastic taste of the American West.
