Slow cooking this gives the ground beef a chance to blend with onions, taco sauce, and refried beans for a terrific ready-to-go taco filling. Top the tacos to your heart's desire.

2 pounds ground beef
2 medium onions, finely chopped
4 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
1/3 cup taco sauce
15 ounces refried beans, heated slightly
taco shells
toppings, as desired
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and onions. Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the beef and onions to the crock pot. Stir in the taco seasoning, taco sauce, and refried beans. Mix just ot combine.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours or on warm for up to 6 hours.
Serve the ground beef and refried bean taco filling in taco shells and add any desired toppings such as cheese, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, fresh onion, fresh tomato, etc.

What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Tacos made with ground beef are so quick to throw together that you wouldn't normally think to cook the meat in the crock pot. I needed to come home and have a dinner READY to go so I tried this and it was great! The flavors really melded and the whole family loved it.
