This is a wonderfully refreshing cocktail made with lychee and mango purees, shochu, and sake. If you can't find shochu you can easily substitute vodka in this recipe. Shochu is a spirit similar to both vodka and sake. It's different from sake in that it's distilled instead of brewed. It's different from vodka in that it has less than half the calories (hint: it's worth hunting down the shochu since you can use it in most drinks calling for vodka and save yourself some calories!)

1 1/2 ounce shochu
1 1/2 ounce sake
1 ounce lychee puree
1 ounce mango puree
ice
1 star fruit
Combine the shochu, sake, lychee puree, and mango puree in a shaker with ice and shake to mix and chill.
Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with the star fruit.

What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
