4 cups vodka
2/3 cup water
2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
2/3 cup superfine sugar
additional lemon juice and sugar, as needed
10 lemon slices or wedges, as garnish
Combine the vodka, water, lemon juice, and sugar in a large pitcher. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Cover the pitcher and chill for 4-6 hours.
Moisten the rims of martini or other cocktail glasses with lemon juice. Place superfine sugar in a shallow dish. Invert the glasses and dip the rims in the sugar.
Carefully pour the chilled lemon drop mixture into the rimmed glasses. Garnish each glass with a lemon slice. Serve immediately.
