Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

cook's notes
Pea salad is something my mother makes almost every thanksgiving and Christmas to go along with the meal and subsequent "turkey sandwich days" that follow. It is very simple, but tasty. It is important that you let the salad stand in the refrigerator for at least an hour or so, otherwise, it will not taste right as the onions are the only thing that flavors the dressing. We always make it with Miracle Whip, but if you are one of those folks who despises the taste, you can substitute mayonnaise with 1-2 Tbsp. of sugar added.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
