Mexican Bean Spice Mix

ingredients
1/2 cup cumin
1/2 cup chili powder
4 tablespoons salt
1 1/2 cup dried minced garlic
4 tablespoons black pepper
1 1/2 cup dried minced onions
directions
Combine all in jar.
To Make: Rinse and sort 1 lb. beans. Soak in 4 c. water overnight or fast soak (bring to boil, remove from heat, cover and let sit 1 hour).
Pour soaked beans in crock pot with 2 cups fresh water, 3 Tb. mix and cook until tender. Before serving, add 1-2 tsp. salt.
For refried beans, mash to desired texture and heat in frying pan.
