ingredients
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup brown rice
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon thyme
2 sprigs dried rosemary
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups broth
directions
Heat margarine in saucepan. Add rice and brown on medium heat.
Add onion, celery and minced garlic, then saute until wilted but not brown. Add seasonings and broth.
Bring to a boil, then turn to lowest heat and cover. Cook for 45 minutes without lifting lid. Fluff and serve.
