ingredients
1 tablespoon good curry powder, or to taste
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 cup sour cream
2 pounds rib lamb chops, cut 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick
directions
Heat oven to 500 degrees F. (Chops can also be grilled.) Mix all ingredients except chops in a bowl, then coat chops with this mixture.
Put chops on a flat pan or in a roasting pan and roast: 12 minutes for medium-rare, longer to taste. Let sit for about 5 minutes, then serve.
