ingredients

3 ounces cold espresso or strong coffee
1/2 cup cold milk
3 Oreo cookies or other sandwich cookies
1 1/4 cup ice
crushed Oreo cookies, for garnish

directions

Combine the espresso, milk, cookies, and ice in a blender. Process until smooth.

Pour the frappe into tall glasses and top with additional crushed cookies.

Serve the frappe with wide straws.

recipe tips

For a decorative touch, drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of the glass before pouring the frappe.

Adding a scoop of cookies 'n' cream or vanilla ice cream can transform this frappe into a decadent dessert drink.

To make sure the cookies are well blended, break them into smaller pieces before adding them to the blender.

Chill the glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before serving to keep the frappe cold longer.

common recipe questions

Can I use brewed coffee instead of espresso?

Yes, you can use strongly brewed coffee as an alternative to espresso. Just make sure it's chilled before blending.

Is there a dairy-free version of this drink?

For a dairy-free version, substitute the milk with almond milk, coconut milk, or any other plant-based milk of your choice.

Can I add sweetness to this frappe?

If you prefer a sweeter frappe, try adding a tablespoon of sugar, chocolate syrup, or vanilla syrup to the blender before processing.

How can I make this frappe thicker?

For a thicker consistency, add more ice or frozen cubes of coffee or milk. You can also add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a creamier texture.

What's the best way to crush the Oreos for garnish?

Place the Oreos in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to gently crush them, or pulse them a few times in a food processor.

Can I make this frappe ahead of time?

It's best enjoyed immediately after blending to maintain its texture. However, you can prepare the espresso or coffee ahead of time and keep it chilled.

Can I use flavored coffee or espresso?

Yes, using flavored coffee or espresso, such as vanilla or hazelnut, can add an interesting twist to the frappe.

    It worked perfectly for me

  2. Meh REVIEW:

Had to add sugar, vanilla and chocolate sauce for it to taste any good.

  3. Blinker REVIEW:

This is so addicting. And you can taste the coffee of course but I always forget I'm drinking caffeine and have too many of these. Maybe I should switch to decaf then i can double the recipe!

  4. texassarahstuff REVIEW:

Instead of milk I used a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
