Cranberry Sherbet

ingredients
1 pound fresh cranberries
3 cups hot water
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
directions
Combine cranberries, hot water and sugar in a large pan. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Press cranberry mixture through a sieve. Discard skins and seeds. Let cool. Stir in juices.
Pour cranberry mixture into an 8" square pan, then freeze until firm.
Position knife blade in food processor bowl. Add half of frozen cranberry mixture and process until smooth. Return mixture to pan. Repeat procedure with remaining cranberry mixture. Freeze until firm.
To serve, scoop sherbet into individual dessert dishes.
