Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

- #105331
ingredients
13 ounces cheese tortellini
26 ounces vodka pasta sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
directions
Boil tortellini for 10 minutes. While tortellini is cooking, simmer the vodka pasta sauce.
Drain tortellini and mix with sauce.
Transfer to a casserole dish and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Bake in 350 degree F oven for 10 minutes.
cook's notes
This recipe is ridiculously easy but really a tasty way to fix a quick dinner. You can use other tortellini but I highly recommend the vodka pasta sauce!

A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.
Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.
