The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Falafel-Potato Casserole

ingredients
1 cup dry falafel mix
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pinch black pepper
4 cloves garlic, crushed
3/4 cup water
1 large potato, sliced thin
1/2 cup olive oil or butter
1 cup grated cheese, loosely packed
directions
Mix the first 5 ingredients to make falafel balls.
Mix the potato slices and oil together in a baking pan or casserole dish. Place the falafel balls on top of the potatoes.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top. Continue baking another 10 minutes.
