A truly indulgent treat! Tater tots are wrapped in bacon and baked until crispy. Great as an appetizer or side dish. Bet you can't eat just one!

ingredients
40 frozen tater tots 20 slices lean bacon
directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Cut bacon strips in half making pieces about 4 inches each.
Place a tater tot on the end half-strip of bacon and roll the bacon around the tater tot, slightly overlapping by 1/2 inch. Cut off any excess bacon and secure the end with a toothpick.
Place the bacon-wrapped tots on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is brown and crispy. Serve hot.
cook's notes
Soak toothpicks in a bowl of water before sticking into the tots and hot oven to prevent them from burning.
You might as well just give up on the diet and try this recipe. I'd agree about maybe baking the tots first though and then wrapping in bacon and baking more because the tots were a little soft for my taste but I didn't want the bacon to burn. Totally addicting.

Bacon and tater tots - how can you go wrong? LOVED these. I served these on New Year's Eve and they were a hit with both grownups and kids. I partially baked the tater tots first and partially cooked the bacon in the microwave. I dabbed off as much grease from the bacon as possible before wrapping the tots. There were no leftovers!
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
