Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Want a to die for dip? Then this is it. Served it with tortilla chips and it was gone FAST. A couple of people turned their noses up at it at first but once they tried it they couldn't stop eating it. Good stuff maynard.
