Havana Harry's Cheese And Chorizo Dip

ingredients
8 ounces uncooked chorizo sausage
4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup half and half or light cream
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
crushed red pepper for garnish, optional
purchased plantain, taro, or vegetable chips
directions
In heavy pan, cook chorizo over medium heat about 5 minutes or until browned. Drain off fat.
Stir cheese, sour cream, half and half or cream, and crushed pepper into chorizo. Cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted.
If desired, sprinkle with additional crushed red pepper. Serve with chips.
