4 cups uncooked long-grain rice
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/4 cup dried minced onion
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
Combine all the ingredients in a jar or other airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 6 months.
To prepare the rice, combine 1 cup of the mix with 2 cups of liquid (water or broth) and 1 tablespoon butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and let cook for 15 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid. Fluff with a fork and serve.

I use instant brown rice (and adjust the liquid amt) which makes this a super quick side dish when I don't have time to cook something else. Very easy to keep on hand, I use empty plastic containers from other rices that I buy.
