Need a quick party drink? This simple margarita recipe definitely packs a "punch". It can be made ahead of time (without ice) and chilled until needed.

ingredients

2 cans (6 ounce size) frozen margarita mix
3 cups tequila
ice or ice ring
lime slices

directions

Combine the margarita mix and tequila in a large pitcher or punch bowl and mix well. Add the ice and lime slices.

Pour or ladle into salt-rimmed (optional) margarita glasses and garnish with additional lime slices.

cook's notes

The margarita mix should be just thawed enough to mix with the tequila but still quite cold.
