This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

Any recipe that starts off with a pint each of vodka and bourbon means business. Fresh cranberries help bring out the Christmas spirit while a good pour of ginger ale adds a nice fizz to the punch.

1 pint vodka
1 pint bourbon
2 pints cranberry or cranapple juice
16 ounces frozen lemonade, undiluted
16 ounces frozen orange juice, undiluted
2 quarts ginger ale
orange slices
fresh cranberries
Combine the vodka, bourbon, cranberry juice, and frozen juices in a pitcher. Mix well.
Place an ice block or ice ring in a punch bowl (or see note below). Add the ginger ale to the pitcher and pour the mixture over the ice in the punch bowl.
Garnish the punch with orange slices and fresh cranberries, if desired.
If you don't want to make an ice ring, chill the pitcher of punch for 2-3 hours before adding the ginger ale, then serve. Or, make cranberry juice ice cubes to add to the punch at serving time.

Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

I tried it, substituted the frozen lemonade with fresh lemon juice and 6 spoons of sugar. It made everyone love it, this punch is just great!
Will it keep for several days with the ginger ale added?
The ginger ale will go flat if you add it several days in advance. In that case, I would add the ginger ale just before serving.

I haven't actually made this yet but am planning on it on Saturday. Can you confirm that the frozen juice in this recipe is that of the canned variety?
I haven't seen frozen juice that isn't canned :)
