It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
Whiskey Slush Punch

- #28470

ingredients
7 cups boiling water
2 cups granulated sugar
4 green tea bags
12 ounces frozen concentrated orange juice
12 ounces frozen concentrated lemonade
3 cups whiskey or brandy
club soda or lemon-lime carbonated beverage
directions
Once your water has begun to boil remove from heat and add to it the 2 cups granulated sugar. Stir till dissolved.
Add your 4 green tea bags, cover and steep for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags after the tea has steeped long enough.
Add to that your frozen concentrated orange juice and lemonade stir until completely thawed and it is well mixed.
Add to that your 2-3 cups whiskey (or brandy). Stirring thoroughly. Pour into a large container that has a cover or lid to it. I use an ice cream pail. (You can find the ice cream in any grocery store).
Freeze the mixture overnight. The mixture will not be completely frozen when ready to use. It will have an ice crystal look to it.
Scoop out desired amount of the slush mixture into a glass. Return the leftover slush mixture to the freezer. Pour some seltzer water or some lemon-lime soda over the slush mixture. Stirring until well mixed.
More or less of the slush mixture and soda water will depend upon how you prefer the consistency of your slush.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Make your mornings a little less hectic with these overnight breakfast recipes. Prep the night before and enjoy a warm, comforting meal in the morning.

I make this with Brandy instead of Whiskey and use regular tea not green tea.
