This stuff puts bottled alcoholic cider to shame. Cloves and cinnamon add some warmth to the refreshing, sweet mix of cranberry and rum for a drink that's sure to delight.
4 cups cranberry-apple drink
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup thawed frozen lemonade concentrate, undiluted
2 sticks cinnamon (3-inch size)
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon whole allspice
1/4 cup light rum
lemon slices (optional)
whole cloves (optional)
6 sticks cinnamon (3-inch size, optional)
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan.
Tie 2 cinnamon sticks, 1/2 teaspoon cloves, and allspice in a cheesecloth bag; add to cranberry-apple drink mixture. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
Remove mixture from heat. Remove and discard spice bag. Stir in rum. If desired, garnish the spiked cranberry apple cider with lemon wedges, cloves, and cinnamon sticks.
