Thank you so much for this recipe! We made up the jars to go in our yearly candy baskets for the family and it's just awesome! Whoever said this cocoa had no flavor must have measured wrong or something because it was the creamiest but not overpoweringly sweet cocoa I have ever made! We also used caramel creamer for another batch to flavor and it's even better! Very good indeed!

I love this recipe and love to switch up the flavor! My favorite flavor thus far is Vanilla Caramel, it is very creamy! I too make this up and give it out as gifts, I am making Vanilla Caramel and some Peppermint this year!!
After reviewing this recipe online, and with considerable expense for the ingredients, I made this mix and, i hate to tell you, it was terrible. Flat, with no taste. I asked my son, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, to taste test it. He says it is lacking in chocolate/cocoa and after adding what seemed to be an inordinate amount of cocoa managed to get the mix to taste mildly of chocolate. However, it took 4 tablespoons of mix to 1/2 cup of water to even get that mild flavor.
I made it for the first time this Christmas and it's great! I'm going to give it out as gifts as well. I had trouble, too, finding the Amaretto Creamer, but I ended up finding it at Food Pyramid (formerly Albertson's grocery store). I don't know if you have one in you area or not.
It has been awhile since I made this wonderful mix, so I thought I would make it this year. I have looked all over for the amaretto powdered creamer, but can't find it anywhere? Any suggestions? Thanks for helping!
