This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

1 pound spaghettini pasta
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened and cubed
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 large egg
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 quarts spaghetti sauce
12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook the pasta as directed on the package. Drain well.
While the pasta is cooking, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
In a bowl, combine the ricotta, Parmesan, cream cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Stir in half of the spaghetti sauce. Mix well. Add the ground beef and pasta. Mix well. Transfer the mixture to a large baking dish.
Pour the remaining spaghetti sauce evenly over the pasta mixture. Top with the shredded Mozzarella cheese.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the pasta sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Only complaint is with amounts listed. I notice this a lot and wish recipes would reflect how the product is marketed, i.e. spaghetti sauce doesn't come in quarts. It comes as 24 oz jars. Shredded cheese is in 8 oz pkgs, not 12. Small ricotta cartons are 15 oz, not 16. I make this quite often and it always gets rave reviews...even tho I probably don't have the amounts exactly as noted!

This is a super easy recipe. I gave it 3 stars only because I did feel it tasted average. Little flavor, but not bad.
