Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

The classic combination of ground beef, tomatoes, beans, and pasta but made the easy way, in the crock pot.

1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 can (16 ounce size) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (10.75 ounce size) tomato soup
1 cup tomato juice
2 teaspoons chili seasoning
1 can (15 ounce size) red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup elbow macaroni, cooked al dente
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion. Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain off any excess grease.
Combine the beef mixture with the remaining ingredients in the crock pot.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until heated through. Stir well before serving.

Pizza night is always a favorite, especially when you have great tasting pizza from some of the most popular restaurants.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
