I sauteed the garlic in the butter just to soften it not brown it then let the mixture cool and then I strained it. I also used salted butter so I wouldn't have to add more salt while cooking. I brushed this on a whole chicken I was roasting in the oven. It made the skin crisp and super flavorful.
