The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

With wire whisk whip together equal parts Bisquick and boxed pancake mix with club soda till it's the consistency of buttermilk. Moisten fish fillets in water and then coat lightly but evenly in flour. Let dry on waxed paper 5 minutes. Spear pieces one at a time with tip of sharp knife and coat in batter. Deep fry in 385 degrees F oil, about 4 minutes each side, till crispy and browned. Do not use tongs or coating will break apart.

This recipe is for the batter and the technique only. You can use whatever shrimp or fish you'd like.

Recipe has no taste as posted. Perhaps with some seasonings it could have some good taste.
