Good but lacked a little something. Maybe something smokier like a ham hock for more flavor. Or adding bacon.

I needed the help, I was curious about adding bell pepper or not. Thank you,

I'm going to give this 5 stars because; 1st star)I did a search for a good Ham and Lima recipe and this was about all that I could find. 2nd star)I was able to use up a meaty ham bone I had in my freezer. I put the whole ham bone in the crock pot with the beans for the suggested time and the meat fell right off it. 3rd star)I love limas anytime. This recipe froze well in pint containers for a quick side dish. 4th star)It was easy to make and smelled so good cooking. 5th star)One word...DELICIOUS!
