ingredients

2 1/2 pounds cube steak
salt
black pepper
flour
1 package onion gravy mix
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
2 cups water

directions

Salt and pepper cube steaks and dredge in flour, fry until brown. Place in crock-pot. Add gravy mix, soup, and water. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

cook's notes

I mixed the gravy mix, soup, and water in a bowl before adding to crock-pot. I thought this might help make the gravy smoother and it did.

REVIEW: recipe rating
Good way to make cube steaks very tender. I just use regular beef gravy mix as I haven't found onion gravy mix before. I don't find it needs any extra salt but I do add black pepper.
