Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

Simple, but tasty, meatballs made with a mixture of ground beef and ground sausage, minced onion, egg, and Italian seasoning and slow cooked in tomato soup to form a delicious gravy.

8 ounces ground beef
4 ounces ground sausage
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 egg, beaten
salt and pepper
1 can (10 ounce size) condensed tomato soup
Combine the ground beef, sausage, onion, Italian seasoning, beaten egg, and salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix well then divide into equal sized meatballs. Place the meatballs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Pour the tomato soup over the meatballs. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-6 hours or until the meatballs are cooked through.
Serve the meatballs and sauce over cooked pasta.

This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

I loved the simplicity of this recipe yet the meatballs turned out amazingly flavorful. And the tomato soup as a gravy was perfect. As shown in the photo, we served the meatballs and gravy over egg noodles.
