Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.

1 egg white
1 pound seedless grapes, cut into small clusters
sugar for coating the grapes
Beat egg white until foamy. Brush grapes on all sides with the egg white and place grapes on a wax paper lined platter. Sprinkle with sugar on all sides.
Allow the sugar coating to dry for several hours at room temperature. Do not refrigerate as it may cause the fruit to sweat.
Use to decorate serving platters. It's nice to use these grapes as a lavish garnish. Use seedless red, black or green grapes, or a little of each. Small champagne grapes are especially gorgeous.

A little messy to prepare but they were pretty. I used superfine sugar because I thought it would adhere better. They dried for about 4 hours but still seemed a little gooey. I'm also not thrilled about having raw egg white sitting at room temperature so I wouldn't make these very far in advance.
