Combining the sweetness of chocolate and butterscotch with the crunch of chow mein noodles, these cookies provide a fun alternative to more traditional desserts.

ingredients

1 package (6 ounce size) chocolate chips
1 package (6 ounce size) butterscotch chips
1 cup peanuts
2 cups chow mein noodles

directions

Melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in the top of a double boiler over simmering, not boiling, water. Stir frequently until the chips are melted and smooth.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the peanuts and chow mein noodles. Mix well then drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let set until dry. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

    The recipe I had which I can't find called them Chinese Porcupines. I've never added butterscotch chips though. Either double the chocolate chips or add peanut butter chips.
