- #45102
under 30 minutes
ingredients
12 powdered sugar doughnut
12 chocolate chips
12 cherry Lifesavers
red gel icing
directions
Take a doughnut and put some of the red gel around the center of the doughnut. Place the Lifesaver on top of the gel to close the hole of the doughnut.
Add a little more gel to the top of the Lifesaver and place the chocolate chip on top of this to make the "pupil" of the eye. Run some of the red gel outward around the Lifesaver to make the eyes look "bloodshot."

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
