Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

ingredients
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chopped Brazil nuts
1/2 cup raisins

Line a baking sheet with waxed or parchment paper.
Combine the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler over simmering (not boiling) water. Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has melted. Remove the pan from the heat.
Stir in the nuts and raisins quickly, making sure to coat them in the chocolate completely.
Carefully pour the mixture out onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly using a buttered spatula.
Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill until firm.
Break the bark into pieces. Store the bark in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
