Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup margarine, butter or shortening
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup currants or raisins
5 tablespoons half-and-half
1 egg, beaten

Directions:

Heat oven to 400. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Cut in margarine with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in 1 egg, the currants and just enough half-and-half so dough leaves side of bowl.

Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Pat into 9" circle on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with 1 egg.

Cut into 10 wedges (do not separate). Bake about 15 minutes or until golden. Immediately remove from cookie sheet; carefully separate wedges.
